We bought this kayak a year ago & used it heavily last summer. I'm amazed at how it has performed. It has a permanent place in our RV. It isn't as bulky as the Sea Eagle Paddle Ski we have & is easier to get to the water. My husband used it for exercise about every other day. I LOVE fishing from it. You can paddle into the tightest & shallowest places to fish & you're sitting (or kneeling) right in the water without getting wet. I would fish for hours comfortably. I would let a large rock in the water hold the boat steady while I fished a spot & not see wear-marks on the hull afterwards, so it became a regular fishing strategy. Especially effective is drifting with the current with a line out. Make sure you carry a large net if you're going to fish from it. I used to carry a one-hand net until I caught a 40" Northern Pike from it. Now I take a pole net.

That's another advantage in using it for fishing. When I realized I had something larger than a bass on my hook, I let out the drag & let it pull me around in the kayak. What a hoot! About 5 minutes later, I saw it was a Pike.

It is also very stable & fun to cross large wakes in. I admit I'm disturbed when in our hard-sided boat, other boats rock ours with large wakes. In the Tahiti I love seeing a wake come my way.

The Tahiti moves easily in the water. We put a skeg on it, which I recommend. It made a difference in tracking. If our boat wears out, we will definitely get another Tahiti. We've already gotten our money's worth out of this one.
